Grunts

PvE

Grunts does PvE raids 4-5 nights a week. We have cleared all of 10-man Naxxramas and 10 and 25-man Obsidian Sanctum, including the Less is More achievement (killing Sartharion on Heroic with 20 people).

Grunts are dedicated to helping any dedicated raiders gear up and have a chance to contribute as we move on to Eye of Eternity and, with enough interest, more 25-mans.

No raid attendance is required of any Grunt; however, with our DKP system, you're encouraged to attend. Also, keep in mind you can earn points for showing up to a raid even if we do not have any open spots. If you wish to raid with us regularly, you'll do well to apply for Base Raider and Veteran Raider status. These ranks measure your gear, performance, and willingness to prepare for fights, follow directions, and adapt to changing circumstances.

UNIVERSAL RAIDER REQUIREMENTS

You will be eligible for raider status once you meet gear requirements, speak with an officer, and show your ability to perform as expected through a raid or dungeon.

All numbers for gear requirements are unbuffed. DPS requirement can be met with personal buffs only. Personal buffs include any spells or auras you can cast on yourself, they do not include food, potions, flasks or scrolls.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I meet the gear requirements but don't have 1500dps. What can I do?

First, remember gear requirements are a MINIMUM. Your class or spec may benefit from more critical strike rating, more haste, etc. and almost everyone can benefit from more hit rating (see more on melee and spell hit).

Also, look at where you are falling behind -- do you need more mana? Are you frequently missing? Try to upgrade in the area where it will be most effective rather than simply trying to maximize a single stat or increase the item-level of your gear.

You might also want to read up on your class and spec somewhere like elitist-jerks or ask a fellow guild member about your spell/attack rotations.

But how do I get gear if I'm not raiding?

There are many sources for pre-Naxx gear!

Can I still go to Naxx if I don't meet these requirements?

If we have a need for someone of your class or role, you may still be able to raid with us. However, all raiding at this time is considered "progression content" and therefore raiders will get preference. As we push further into raid progression, group makeup will change to allow more non-raiders on old content.

Is there an attendance requirement for raiders?

Only that you show up for raids that you sign up for.

Do raiders get preference on drops?

No, loot is handled by our DKP system. Raiders will have a chance to raid more often and therefore earn more DKP but drops are not loot-council except to give preference to main specs (e.g. a tank wouldn't be allowed to outbid a DPS player on a DPS piece)
